It's been a while......

So we are back from the trip. I will try and post some pictures soon. I have almost 600 pictures from the trip to sort through. The Disney cruise was amazing and I absolutely loved Europe. Italy was my favorite, but I knew it would be. Jenna had a great time. She loved being on the boat with all her Disney Characters. She swam, ate and played the entire 2 weeks we were gone. She did miss Madison very much and was very glad to see her when we returned. Of course the big celebration on the boat was Jenna's birthday. Can you believe she is 3 years old??? Mike and I can't. She is growing up way too fast. These past couple of weeks we enjoyed a small birthday celebration with the family for Jenna, babysitting the ever growing Luke and Luke's Christening. Below are some pictures from each event. Enjoy!

Fun weekend

To celebrate our last weekend before our trip, Saturday we headed out to the Staten Island Zoo and Sunday enjoyed the St Anslem's Fair. The zoo was celebrating Italian Heritage this weekend, so Jenna and I met up with Michele, Rich & Luke. Jenna enjoyed herself throughout the entire zoo while Luke slept. He did manage to wake up before we were leaving for some photo shots with a few animals.
St Anslem's School celebrated it's 80th Anniversary this weekend with a festival. We met up with Jennifer, Mark & Madison and Grandma Gladys took the subway to Brooklyn to hang out too. The girls were very excited about riding the rides, while Jen and I took our chances playing bingo.
It was a great weekend to segway into our vacation. Have a wonderful 2 weeks. Will post when we return.

Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Memorial Day to all. We had a great weekend and we hope everyone did too. Thank you to all our Veterans and Active Military. Without their dedication and sacrifice, we wouldn't have the freedom we enjoy.
We started the weekend off great with a trip to the park. Jenna was very excited that they turned on the water. She had a great time running through the sprinklers. Saturday Jenna and I took the train into the city to see our friends Sue and Maureen. Lucky for us, Jenna slept the entire time so we were able to catch up. Once Jenna did awake, I took her to Union Square and we played at the park. The weather was great. Sunday we had a BBQ at our house - we had a nice crowd - Jenna had a great time seeing everyone. We celebrated Memorial Day by watching the Bayridge parade. It is the oldest, consecutive parade in the US.

Park Weather

With the weather getting warmer, we have been heading out to the park more. Jenna loves the park especially now that she is on the big kid swings. We cannot believe that she is turning 3 next month. Our little baby is growing up. The pictures below are from the past couple weeks at the local parks.

Kaylin's Communion

Saturday we had Kaylin, Mike's goddaughter's communion. We had a great time at the party. Grandma Gladys, Uncle Darren, Titi Iliana and Amanda were all there. Jenna had loads of fun with Amanda. She even got to extend that fun by spending the night at Grandma's with Amanda.

Coney Island

We had some great weather this weekend. So glad that the rain from Friday moved on out. Saturday we had dinner with Jennifer, Mark & Madison since Jennifer and Madison were leaving for Chicago Sunday for 2 weeks. I can tell you that Jenna misses Madison already. Sunday we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head over to Coney Island. It is sad since this is the last year that this part of Coney Island will be open. Jenna had a great time riding the rides. She is still talking about the whale. She even had her first Coney Island Nathan's hot dog. She loved it!

I think Spring has finally arrived

So Spring has finally arrived. The weather was beautiful all weekend. Michele, Richie and Luke ventured into Bayridge Saturday for a visit. It was great to see them and we enjoyed Luke's first visit to Brooklyn. Jenna was so excited to see Luke. She loved giving him kisses on his head and petting his hands.
Sunday was Earth Day and we headed into the city to Central Park. We enjoyed the weather by having a picnic and listening to a concert that was specifically for the kids. They had the bands that appear on Noggin, so Jenna was thrilled.

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter Sunday at Gladys' House. Everyone came over to celebrate. Jenna was very excited that the Easter Bunny brought her presents. She loved wearing her Easter Dress - she kept telling us she was a Princess. It was a great day surrounded by family and friends. We hope everyone had a great Easter.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday we spent the afternoon with Jason and Kristin to celebrate Easter. We took Jenna to the park in Brooklyn for the Marty Golden Annual Egg Hunt. Jenna had a great time running and looking for eggs. Too bad we didn't win anything, but Jenna had a lot of fun.

Good Friday

Good Friday Mom came out to Brooklyn to celebrate Easter. We took Jenna to the Brooklyn Children's Museum for the day. She had loads of fun playing in the play area, seeing the animals and touching all the displays. It really is a child friendly museum which is a good thing since Jenna had her hands all over everything.
