Wedding Weekend

Fall is finally here and with it came Linda's wedding. Linda and Rick were married Saturday, the first day of fall. I was honored to be chosen as one of Linda's bridesmaids. While Mike and I were partying at the wedding, Jenna got to spend time with Grandma, Jason and Murphy. She had a blast chasing Murphy around the house. I bet he was happy to see her go Saturday night. He probably slept all day Sunday. We returned back to Brooklyn and just hung around the neighborhood Sunday. We needed the rest since it had been a crazy few days preparing for the wedding.

Cruise Weekend

As Michele's been saying - Back to Life, Back to Reality. Elena, Michele and I have returned from our cruise and we had a blast. I missed Mike and Jenna tremendously, but it was great to get away. It was a nice to get off the plane in NY and have them waiting for us at the airport. Unfortunately I had the camera all weekend, so I have no new pictures of Jenna, but lots from the cruise. Enjoy.

Holiday Weekend

We hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. Our weekend was very relaxing. Glad the weather turned out nice Sunday and Monday. Jenna started her weekend off with a sleepover with Faith. Mike and I babysat for Debby while she attended a wedding Friday night, Faith got to sleep over. Jenna and Faith had a blast and Jenna was even asking for Faith each morning she woke up. Saturday we had an "inside" BBQ since it poured all day. Jenna had fun with both her Grandmas, Abuela, Uncle Darren and some of our other friends. Sunday and Monday were days of rest for us all. Just doing little things around the house and taking Jenna out to the park to enjoy some
beautiful weather. And to make my long weekend longer, I took off Tuesday to spend some time with Jenna since I'll be off on my cruise Thursday!!!! Michele, Elena and I are off to sunny Florida to cruise over to Key West and Cozumel. We will be celebrating Michele's upcoming wedding. Can't wait to go, but I know I'll miss Mike and Jenna very much.

Another rainy weekend

Another rainy weekend. I think the fall weather has started to set in. We started the weekend off with a visit to the park Friday night with Faith and Dylan. It was the only patch of clear weather all weekend. Saturday we attended a birthday party for one of the boys from Tutor Time. It was Jonathan's 2nd Birthday and he had the party at a great place called Little People Parties in Bayridge, Brooklyn. There were activities for the kids and even a special guest - Elmo! Jenna enjoyed the evening with all her Tutor Time Friends. Sunday, Jenna and Mike spent some time with Grandma Gladys, Abuela and Great Nanny while I ventured out in the rain to LI for Linda's bridal hair trial. I can't believe her wedding is in less than a month!! It feels like yesterday her and Rick got engaged!

August Weekend

As always, we had a full weekend. Friday night we kicked the weekend off with Jennifer and Madison since Mark was out in Las Vegas for the weekend. We had a very nice dinner and the girls had a blast playing. It was almost like a PJ party with them hanging out in their PJ's. Saturday, Mike and I had some adult time in Atlantic City. And before anyone asks, we did not hit it big, but we did have a lot of fun together. Jenna spent the day and night with Grandma Gladys. She had a great time playing with Grandma, Abuela and Rudy. Sunday was just chores and hanging around the house. Monday really comes around way too quick.

Weekend full of showers

This weekend was full of showers and not the wet kind. Saturday was Michele's surprise bridal shower. She really looked surprised, so I hope she was. Jenna and I fooled her into thinking we were going for a girls only brunch, only to arrive at her shower. Jenna had a great time seeing everyone. She is very attached to her Aunt Shel and can't wait to be the flower girl for her wedding. Sunday was Jenn's surprise baby shower. I can't say she was surprised, really who wants to surprise a pregnant lady that is 8 months!!!! Jenn looks wonderful and we can't wait to meet the new little Hamarich. (It's going to be a boy) It was great to see everyone at the shower and Jenna had a lot of fun playing with Alex and Sammie!

Beach Weekend

I finally wore Mike down and we brought Jenna to the beach. We all know how much Mike hates the beach, but I absolutely love it and I won in the end. Now I have tipped the scales since Jenna loves the beach. She had so much fun playing in the sand and even venturing into the water. We just went local to Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn. Madison, Jennifer and Mark joined us and Jenna had a great time playing with Madison. Looks like the makings of BFF. :)
We also got Jenna to sleep in her bed. Well it was only for her nap, but that is a big
step!

Relaxing Weekend

So nice to finally have a relaxing weekend. Nothing to do, just hanging around at home. Jenna had a sleepover at Grandma Gladys' house and had a great visit with Abuela. She is up visiting from Puerto Rico for a couple of weeks. Of course Jenna also loved visiting Rudy, Grandma's dog. I bet Rudy was happy to see Jenna go on Sunday...
With Jenna having her sleepover, Mike and I were able to go and see Andrew's girlfriend - Natalie Joy Johnson perform Saturday night. She is AMAZING!!! If anyone here in the NYC area wants to see her, she has another show Monday July 31 at 8pm. Definitely worth going to see. Contact me for details if anyone is interested.

3 Day Weekend

Every weekend should be a 3 day weekend. On Friday Mike, Jenna and I took the day off to spend with my family in the city. My cousin Laura had been up for the week dancing with the Broadway Dance Center and Friday was her performance. Mom came in by train to meet up with us for the performance. After the performance, since everyone knows Jenna would not have sat still for the show, Mike and Jenna met up with us for dinner in Little Italy. It was so great to see Annette, Donna and Laura. Now if we could convince them to move back to New York......
Saturday we all went to Millie and Carlos' baby shower. Unfortunately my camera died, again, so I have no pictures. But we had a great time seeing everyone - Darren, Iliana, Allison, Spencer, Kaitlyn and Karla. Sunday was so hot, we just hung around. Cold Stone was calling our name, so we met up with the Madison, Jennifer and Mark just back from their long vacation. Welcome back and happy birthday Madison!

These weekends go way too fast!!! Jenna and I headed out to Long Island to visit Grandma, Uncle Jason and new family member Murphy. Jenna got in some playtime with Murphy before we headed over to spend the afternoon with our friend Sue. Sunday was a lazy day since it was so hot. We had Jenna in her little pool to cool off. I even let her do some painting. But I think she painted herself more than the paper. And finally a first - Jenna took her nap in her own bed!!!



Here is the newest member of the Haag Family - Murphy! Jason just got little Murphy about 2 weeks ago. He is a Maltese and only weighs about 2 pounds.

Don't let my mom fool you - she is in love with Murphy. For someone that was so against getting a dog, we can see how spoiled he is going to be.

Finally!!!!

Ok, so we have been saying this for the past year and a half, but it is finally done. We got Jenna's ears pierced on Saturday morning. Jenna was a trooper. She cried like she normally does when we visit Dr. Jebran and only a yelp when he actually pierced each ear. We had a packed weekend, as usual per Mike. We met up with Michele and Richie for dinner Saturday night and we had Linda's surprise bridal shower Sunday. I don't have many pictures since my camera up and died. Mike says it's because I take too many pictures....
